Judge less ye be judged

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged.  For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-2

Today I am mindful that this world judges you.  In the Bible we are told not to, but that falls on deaf ears.  Too often in life judgments are placed.

We talk about what the person has done wrong in their life but we never take time to talk about what they did right in their life.  It is easier to point out flaws and mistakes.  But do we think what that could mean for us?

Christ says don't judge or you will be judged and by the same manner in which you judge.  So what does that say to me?  It says, simply put, that if I turn my nose down on someone, then God will turn his nose down on me.  If I am not a friend to someone because of their past, then God will not be a friend to me.

That is a scary thought, that thought that God would not be a friend just because I am not friendly to others.  So if I want God to be my friend, then I must not judge others and be a friend.

That is hard to do though.  What about when they hurt me?  What if the wrong they do is against me?  What if they live a life I don't approve of?  What if they believe different then me? What if what if what if....It don't say don't judge but these you can.  God says don't judge.

I don't know about you, but I want to be judged with favor and kindness and mercy and grace...so how will you judge others?
