Our Covenant in Christ

Today I have been looking at the word "covenant" and studying what that means.  God made a covenant with us.  It says in Mark 14;24 "This is the blood of my covenant, which is poured out for many."  So let's look closer at the word.

Webster says it is an agreement.  So if we reread scripture, it says that this is the blood of my agreement, which is poured out for many.  So Christ is the new covenant.  So therefore, the Old Testament is the old covenant and Christ is the new covenant.

Can we learn from the old? Yes of course!  But even scripture say this about the new covenant, "It is He who has qualified us making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant of salvation through Christ, not ministers of the letter of legally written code, but of the Spirit; for the code of the law kills, but the Holy Spirit makes alive." 2 Corinthians 3:6 AMPC

So what am I saying, we are of the New Covenant!  We are saved through Christ!  We don't follow the old law, but have been washed clean through the blood of Christ and a new promise!  A new agreement!

So when old law is thrown at you for being you and true to the Spirit, simply say I am under the new covenant with Christ and walk washed by the blood!
